We'd rather post in real time than batch it into a blog.

New projects, lessons from the field, and the occasional strong opinion about implementations done wrong. This is where we actually share our thinking.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you commit.

The honest answers to what clients actually ask us, before and after they sign on.

We know something needs to change, but we're not sure what. Can you still help?
Yes. That's usually where we start. Most clients come to us with a feeling that something isn't working, not a finished brief. We ask questions first: where the bottlenecks are, what's actually costing you time, what the business needs in two years, not just today. The solution gets defined together, not handed to you on day one.
We're growing fast, but our processes haven't kept up. Where do we even start?
With your business, not your tech stack. Before we talk about systems, we look at how your teams actually work and where growth is exposing the cracks. From there, we prioritize the handful of changes that move the needle now, in a way that still holds up as you keep scaling.
We already have a solution in mind. Can you just help us build it?
We can, but we'll ask why first. Most clients arrive with a specific platform or feature already picked out, and our first job is to pressure-test that choice against the actual business problem. Sometimes it's exactly right. Sometimes a smaller, cheaper fix gets you there faster. Either way, you'll know before you spend the budget.
How do you make sure your recommendations actually fit our business, and not just whatever's trending in Salesforce?
Every recommendation has to trace back to something you told us matters: a goal, a bottleneck, a number you're trying to move. If we can't draw that line, we don't propose it. It's also why the same senior team that scopes your engagement stays on it end to end, so nothing gets lost in a handoff to someone who wasn't in the room.
How involved does our leadership team actually need to be?
More at the start than you might expect, less once we're moving. Leadership sets the direction: what matters, what trade-offs are acceptable, what "done" looks like. We need that picture to be accurate and complete early on. Once we're aligned, day-to-day work runs without needing you in every meeting.
What happens after the project goes live? Do you disappear?
No. Most clients stay with us well past launch. Technology decisions don't stop mattering the day a system ships, and neither do we. We keep an eye on how things are actually being used, flag what's worth optimizing, and stay reachable for the questions that come up six months in, not just the first week.
How do you actually measure whether this was worth it?
By the goals we set together before anything was built, not generic adoption stats. Every engagement starts by defining what success looks like for your business specifically, and we check progress against that same measure at every stage, not just at the end.
What makes Evolving Consulting different from a big-name consultancy?
You get the same senior team from the first call to years down the road, not a sales pitch from one group and a build from another you've never met. We're a family-run firm by design: direct relationships, full accountability, and nobody treating your business as a side project.
